The Riptide 35 rudder and keel are nearing completion. The rudder has four tubercles along the leading edge which aid helm control by delaying the stall point . This revolutionary technology draws from the observation of the unique bumps on the leading edges of Humpback whale fins. The bumps are designed into the core and were cut out on our CNC table.

Happy New Year! The new year finds us busier than ever at JBE! The Riptide 35 hull has just been pulled from the mould and bulkheads stiffeners are going in and the cabin top mould is going up! We'll be flipping this baby over in the next week or so.

We have started construction on the Riptide 35, an innovative design by Bieker Boats.

We have a new addition to the shop, an Anderson CNC machine. The 5x10' table is complete with a 12 Hp vacuum and four cell dust collection system. This equipment will improve efficiency in the shop by cutting production times down for frame sections, hull cores, rudder profiles, and general machining.

Our new Flying Tiger 10M performance rudder swept the San Diego NOOD regatta this past weekend! Two boats had our rudder, and between the two of them won 9 of 10 races, and placed 1st and 2nd overall! Complete results here.
